The Eastern Highlands, (Also known as the Great Dividing Range or Eastern Cordillera, is found in Eastern Australia.
It is 3,500 Kilometres long from North to South.
It consists of a series of plateaus and low mountain ranges roughly paralleling the coasts of Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria for 3,700 km.
It has a longitude and latitude of 36.559 o South, 148.2636 o East.
The range of The Eastern Highlands has an area of 2,457 million km.
The range of The Eastern Highlands begins in the north on Cape York Peninsula, Queensland. The ranges’ average elevation is 600–900 metres in this state, but can rise as high as 1,500 metres in the Bellenden Ker and McPherson ranges and the Lamington Plateau.
The highest point of the range has the height of 2,228 m in Mount Kosciusko. Mount Kosciuszko has an area of 6,900 km, It is found in the Main Range of the Snowy Mountains in Kosciuszko National Park, being part of the Australian Alps National Parks and Reserves, in New South Wales, and is located west of Crackenback and close to Jindabyne.
Barrington Tops National Park is located in Hunter Valley, New South Wales, and has an area of 765.1 km².
